U.S. Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack, who has found a place for himself on the political agenda with the striking statements he has made since taking office, has once again caused confusion with his latest remarks.

Evaluating Erdoğan's position, Tom Barrack used the following expressions:

“(Erdoğan) has reached the age of 71. (Turkey) is a democracy, but it is like an authoritarian one. President Trump brilliantly said, 'I should give him legitimacy as a solution.' That is what is happening right now. I think you will see major changes as a result of this.”

HARSH CRITICISM FROM INCE

CHP member Muharrem İnce opened these remarks by Barrack to debate on his social media account and used the phrase 'it must be condemned immediately.'

Here are those lines from Ince:

"The President of the Republic of Turkey derives his legitimacy from the Turkish Nation. The U.S. Ambassador says that Trump is giving legitimacy to Erdoğan. This statement must be condemned immediately and the U.S. Ambassador must be summoned for an explanation. Otherwise, Erdoğan will be considered to have accepted this humiliation!"
