Increase in paid military service fee: New figure has been announced
A new period is beginning for those who wish to perform paid military service. With the latest increase in the fee, it has been reported that the revenue generated will be transferred to defense industry projects.

An important change has been made regarding the paid military service fee. Within the scope of the new legislative proposal submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), the current paid military service fee of 333 thousand 89 TL has been increased by 25.2 percent to 417 thousand TL. The regulation in question is included in the 'Legislative Proposal on Making Amendments to Certain Laws'.
AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, in his statement regarding the matter, said, "The paid military service fee is rising to 417 thousand liras. The resources here will be transferred to the defense industry."
The new paid military service fee is expected to come into effect once the legislation is passed.
