The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Cybercrimes Investigation Bureau, prepared an indictment against Acun Ilıcalı and several suspects as part of the illegal betting investigation. The indictment alleges that illegal betting sites were promoted using virtual advertising techniques during football matches broadcast on the TV8 and EXXEN platforms.
ILLEGAL BETTING ACCUSATION AGAINST Acun Ilıcalı
The prosecution stated that illegal betting advertisements encourage individuals to engage in such activities. In this context, it is requested that Acun Ilıcalı be tried with a prison sentence of 1 to 3 years and a judicial fine of up to 3 thousand days.
The prepared indictment was submitted to the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance. Following the court's acceptance of the indictment, it was reported that Ilıcalı and the other defendants will present their defense in court in July.
