An indictment has been prepared against Mısra Öz, who lost her son in the Çorlu Train Disaster, on charges of "insulting a public official due to their duty." The indictment was prepared following events that took place after the hearing at the Çorlu 1st High Criminal Court on June 25, 2020.

According to the indictment, Öz committed the crime of insult by using harsh language in response to a police officer filming her after the hearing. It was stated that Öz will be tried for her remarks, which included, "Film, don't hesitate, they are all the Palace's jesters. They are all playing the three monkeys..."

During the hearing, the court panel's questions to witnesses such as, "Did it rain a lot, and if it did, did the chickens perish?" had caused a reaction from Öz. Upon leaving the hearing, Mısra Öz had criticized this situation with the following words:

"What do you mean, did the chickens perish? We are concerned about human lives, and they are concerned about chickens..."

The indictment also includes that Öz will be tried on charges of insult due to these statements as well.

THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO SAY

In a statement regarding the indictment prepared against her, Mısra Öz expressed her reaction by saying, "There is nothing left to say. It is absurd for them to file another lawsuit on a matter for which I have already been sentenced..." Öz stated that she would provide her testimony once the trial date is set.
