Individual protesting DEM Party march assaulted
In the Silopi district of Şırnak, the local party organization held a march demanding the resignation of DEM Party Mayor Jiyan Ormanlı after she was referred to the party's disciplinary board. An individual who reacted to the march was assaulted.

Following the decision by the DEM Party Local Governments Board to refer Silopi Mayor Jiyan Ormanlı to the Central Disciplinary Board with a request for 'permanent expulsion,' a press statement and march were organized by the Silopi district organization.
During the march, one person reacted to the chants of 'Jiyan resign.' Following this, the individual who expressed their reaction was assaulted by the large group. The person, who was subjected to a physical attack involving punches, was removed from the crowd after bystanders intervened.
