Individual who abused a young child in Kayseri arrested

The perpetrator who sexually abused a 7-year-old child in Kayseri yesterday has been arrested.
The police procedures for 26-year-old Syrian national I.A., who sexually abused his cousin, 7-year-old M.A., in a restroom at a marketplace in the Danişmentgazi neighborhood of the Melikgazi district, have been completed.
I.A. was referred to the courthouse and subsequently arrested by the duty magistrate.
The Kayseri Governor's Office had previously announced that a Syrian national was taken into custody regarding the sexual abuse incident in the Danişmentgazi neighborhood and that the child had been placed under protection. A publication ban was imposed regarding the sexual abuse allegation and the subsequent events. Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya also announced that 67 people had been detained in connection with the incidents.
