Individual who brandished a samurai sword and made threats has been detained

A suspect who blocked traffic, caused a disturbance, and made threats with a samurai sword in Ümraniye has been taken into custody.

The Istanbul Police Department conducted an investigation regarding the individual seen in footage shared on certain social media platforms on June 28, who blocked traffic on Alemdağ Street in the Yamanevler neighborhood, used profanity, caused a disturbance, and made threats while holding a samurai sword.

The suspect, identified as E.T. (41), was apprehended yesterday at his home in the Sancaktepe district along with the sword he used in the incident.
