Two cyber attackers who hacked the Fast Pass System (HGS) and sent abusive notifications to users have been apprehended. One of the attackers was taken into custody in Denizli, and the other in Mersin.
One of the attackers, who sent abusive notifications via PTT's HGS mobile application and then attempted to blackmail users for money, stated in his testimony, 'We did it as a joke.'
The operation was conducted jointly by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), the National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM), the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), and Gendarmerie units.
As a result of the operations, the teams apprehended Burak K., who used the alias 'Klew', in Denizli, and Veli B., nicknamed 'Hades', in Mersin.
