Journalist Hadi Özışık, who is close to the government, shared inside information he obtained on Ekol TV. Özışık claimed that the merger talks, which have been ongoing for a long time between the Future Party and the New Welfare Party, have reached the completion stage.

Stating on the live broadcast that “Ahmet Davutoğlu and Fatih Erbakan are meeting tomorrow,” Özışık said, “The New Welfare Party has a congress on November 16. The final stage has been reached regarding the merger.”

“LEADERSHIP DEBATE POSTPONED”

According to Özışık, while the two leaders reached a consensus on the merger, they left the issue of the party chairmanship for later. “To the question of who will be the chairman, both leaders said, ‘let the merger be achieved first, these are details, we will reach an agreement,’” said Özışık, also noting that these talks have been ongoing for approximately six months.
