Inspection scandal at Göztepe City Hospital: Management was notified in advance

It has emerged that the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate informed the management of the Göztepe Prof. Dr. Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital in Kadıköy prior to an inspection, requesting that necessary precautions be taken. This situation, documented through WhatsApp correspondence, was revealed by Suat Delibaş, who was appointed to the hospital's Quality Support Directorate, as he issued warnings to employees regarding how they should behave during the inspection.

THEY WERE AWARE OF THE INSPECTION

In the messages showing that Suat Delibaş, who was appointed to the hospital's Quality Support Directorate, was informed before the inspection, it was seen that Delibaş gave warnings about what employees should say during the audit.

In his message, where he wrote out in bullet points how employees should respond to questions, Alkan stated: "An inspection team from the Provincial Health Directorate is about to enter our hospital for health quality standards. 1- We are receiving training online via the Hospital Training System (HES). 2- We do not see patient results. 3- We do not see inpatient information. 4- We do not enter examination data, etc."

ALLEGATIONS OF MOBBING FOR IRREGULARITIES

A hospital employee speaking to M.A. highlighted that the newly appointed Quality Support Manager, Suat Delibaş, is a workplace representative for the Health and Social Service Workers Union (SAĞLIK-SEN), which is known for its proximity to the government. Stating that SAĞLIK-SEN members are being put in charge at hospitals, the employee said: "Suat Delibaş himself is a medical secretary, but he is mobbing medical secretary staff to force them to act irregularly. Even though the secretaries have gone to his office repeatedly to say 'We will not perform irregular transactions,' he insists, saying 'You will.' Just last week, a medical secretary was arrested for doing a doctor's job. That is why fights are breaking out here."
