Institutional appointments at the Ministry of Environment: Two deputy ministers and senior management changed

Appointment decisions made by the Presidency have been published in the Official Gazette.

With the decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette, Istanbul-Bakırköy District Governor Abdullah Köklü was appointed as the Governor of Tokat in accordance with Articles 3 and 3 of Presidential Decree No. 3.

With the same decision, Head of Presidential Administrative Affairs Metin Kıratlı was elected as a member of the Constitutional Court. Hakkı Susmaz was appointed to replace Metin Kıratlı. Bekir Keleş was brought in as the General Manager of Law and Legislation of the Presidency.

At the Council of Forensic Medicine, Deputy President Tarık Yusuf Uçar was dismissed from his post. In accordance with Articles 2 and 3 of Presidential Decree No. 3, Ahmet Bensiz, Deputy General Manager of Legal Services at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was appointed to replace the dismissed Uçar.

Dismissals and appointments were made for senior public management positions at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. According to the decision, 9 individuals were dismissed from the ministry: Deputy Ministers Vedad Gürgen and Refik Tuzcuoğlu, General Manager of Environmental Management Recep Akdeniz, General Manager of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection Cihan Tatar, General Manager of Combating Desertification and Erosion Nurettin Taş, General Manager of European Union and Foreign Relations Hüseyin Bayraktar, General Manager of Personnel İbrahim Yılmaz, Head of Guidance and Inspection İhsan Yiğit, and Head of Strategy Development Sadi Kızık. 18 appointments were made: Ömer Bulut and Burak Demiralp as Deputy Ministers, Veli Tunçez as General Manager of National Real Estate, Fatih Turan as General Manager of Environmental Management, Eyyüp Karahan as General Manager of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection, Murat Oral as General Manager of Construction Affairs, Banu Aslan as General Manager of Professional Services, Kasım Yenigün as General Manager of Combating Desertification and Erosion, İsmail Tüzgen as General Manager of European Union and Foreign Relations, Halil Erdoğan as General Manager of Personnel, Aytaç Yüksel as Head of Guidance and Inspection, Yusuf Alperen Ayar as Head of Strategy Development, Hakan Gedikli as General Manager of Land Registry and Cadastre, Mustafa Levent Sungur as President of the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), Oğuzhan Yaylacı as General Manager of Real Estate and Resource Development at the Urban Transformation Presidency, Yahya Kesimal as Deputy General Manager of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permit and Inspection, Selçuk Aydemir as Deputy General Manager of Spatial Planning, and Maliki Ejder Batur as Istanbul Provincial Director of Environment and Urbanization.

Esra Tuba Aydemir, Ferit Ezeroğlu, Fevzi Ünver, Aynur Genç, Mehmet Karahan, and Ufuk Yılmaz were appointed to the vacant Chief Inspector positions at the Ministry of Family and Social Services. Inspector Mesut Cemil İşler was appointed to the vacant Chief Inspector position at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Inspector Muhammet Uğur Nuraloğlu to the vacant Chief Inspector position at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and Oğuz Serhat Akın to the vacant Chief Trade Inspector position at the Ministry of Trade.
