Insult lawsuit this time in the İsmailağa Community: Cübbeli Ahmet takes action

The struggle for leadership that flared up following the death of İsmailağa Community leader Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu resulted in Cübbeli Ahmet's expulsion from the İsmailağa Community. In a statement shared by the İsmailağa Community on March 27, 2024, it was announced that Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü did not accept the sheikhdom of Hasan Kılıç and therefore had no remaining ties to the community. On April 16, 2024, Ünlü and his circle announced that they had established the Müceddid Mahmud Efendi Hazretleri Community.

HE DECLARED HIS OWN SHEIKH

According to a report by Gerçek Gündem, tensions rose again following the passing of the current İsmailağa sheikh, Hasan Kılıç. Cübbeli Ahmet acted before the İsmailağa Consultative Board and declared his own sheikh. Broadcasting from his YouTube channel, Cübbeli declared İbrahim Hoca, who is stated to be connected to Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu's sheikh, Ahıskalı Ali Haydar Efendi, as the sheikh.

'WATCH YOUR BACK'

The leadership struggles within the community have also been reflected on social media. Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu's nephew, Ali Rıza Ustaosmanoğlu, made a striking post on social media on August 18, 2024. In the post in question, Ustaosmanoğlu referred to Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca as a degenerate, writing: "Cübbeli, you degenerate, you fool, you sycophant, you creep, you characterless person... Didn't you beg when your videos came out? For me to watch your back against those Ibdacıs?"

HE WILL FACE THE JUDGE

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca has taken legal action regarding the post in question. Submitting a petition to the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Cübbeli requested that this prominent figure of the community he was once affiliated with be punished. Examining the complaint, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit against Ali Rıza Ustaosmanoğlu for the crime of "Public Insult." Ustaosmanoğlu will appear before a judge at the Criminal Court of First Instance in the coming days.
