The Küçükçekmece 2nd High Criminal Court reached an important decision in the first hearing of the case concerning the murder of university student Ayşe Tokyaz by former police officer Cemil Koç. The court panel ruled that the 8 detained defendants in the case shall remain in custody.
STATUS OF DETAINED DEFENDANTS EVALUATED
During the hearing, the detention status of the defendants and the evidence within the scope of the case file were evaluated. While the court panel ruled for the continuation of the defendants' detention, it also set the dates for the next hearing.
The next stage of the hearing will be held on March 24 and March 26, 2026.
