Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared a short film on his social media account in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Yerlikaya concluded his post with the note, 'Long live the Republic'.

Here is that post:

"There are only a few days left until the 100th anniversary of our Republic, which will 'remain forever'. Our Republic is the most beautiful line of a glorious epic where those who thought they were victorious were defeated and 'left as they came' while saluting our Moon and Star flag. It is a great legacy whose price was paid in Sakarya, in Dumlupınar, on the plains of Afyon, and in Çanakkale... The vision of the Century of Turkey is the essence of the effort and ideal to elevate this sacred legacy to the highest levels. I commemorate the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, our dear martyrs, our heroic veterans, and the deputies who served in our Parliament during the most fiery days of the National Struggle and the proclamation of our Republic with mercy, gratitude, and respect. This short film we have prepared tells the ideal of the Republic in a very beautiful language. Long live the Republic."
