Interior Minister Yerlikaya commemorates Aybüke Yalçın on Teachers' Day
On the occasion of November 24 Teachers' Day, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared a special video for music teacher Aybüke Yalçın, who was martyred by PKK terrorists 7 years ago. The video included clips of Aybüke Yalçın singing the folk song "Mağusa Limanı." Emphasizing that the efforts of teachers strengthen the foundations of the ideal of a great Turkey, Minister Yerlikaya expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all teachers.

In his post, Yerlikaya included the video prepared by the Ministry in memory of the martyred music teacher Yalçın and all teachers, and used the following expressions:
"To our dear teachers who dedicate their lives to our children and youth, the guarantee of our future, and who carry the torch of education to every corner of our country... The ideal of a great and strong Turkey is rising on much firmer foundations thanks to your efforts. In this cause, many of our teachers like Aybüke Yalçın were targeted by traitors. I pray for God's mercy upon all our teachers who have passed away, especially our martyred teachers. Happy November 24 Teachers' Day."
