Interior Minister Yerlikaya reacts to cartoon in Leman: I strongly condemn the shameless caricaturization of our Prophet

Interior Minister Yerlikaya, in a post on his social media account regarding the cartoon featured in Leman magazine, stated, "I strongly condemn the shameless caricaturization of our Prophet (PBUH).

What has been done is not freedom of the press. What has been done is not freedom of expression.

Such attempts, which denigrate our religious values and open deep wounds in the conscience of Muslims, are intended as provocation, and those who dare to do this will be held accountable before the law.

I curse this mentality that insults our Prophet by creating a caricature of him," he said.
