Interior Minister Yerlikaya said 'no leak in IMM' when he was Governor: The 'no vulnerability' signature
A new development has occurred in the 'data leak' investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM).

According to a document dated June 2022 shared by Republican People's Party (CHP) Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın on his social media account, it has emerged that Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who was the Governor of Istanbul at the time, signed a decision stating that "there was no need for action as no vulnerability was detected" in an investigation conducted regarding the same allegation.
Sharing the document, Günaydın stated, "With the approval given by the then-Governor of Istanbul Ali Yerlikaya on June 23, 2022, regarding the complaint about data being leaked from the IMM Information Technology Department; the phrase 'Since it is understood that no such vulnerability was detected in the examination, there is no need for any action...' was used."
In the decision signed by Yerlikaya and shared by Günaydın, it was observed that there was a determination that there was no need for any action to be taken against Erol Özgüner, the Head of the Information Technology Department of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
