Internship and apprenticeship victims, who face delays in retirement due to their insurance being paid on a short-term basis, held a "Great Istanbul Meeting" rally today at Kartal Square in Istanbul.

DEMAND FOR LEGISLATION

Speaking on behalf of the victims who traveled from many parts of Turkey to attend the rally, Murat Bal, President of the Internship and Apprenticeship Insurance Victims Federation, said, "Our main demand is the resolution of the internship and apprenticeship insurance grievance.

A legal regulation is required to resolve this grievance. We, as interns and apprentices, believe that our grievance will be resolved before the local elections. We have an expectation for a law to be passed before the local elections," he said.

"LET OUR INSURANCE START DATE BE THE DATES ON THE CARDS GIVEN TO US"

Selçuk Aydın, President of the Istanbul Internship and Apprenticeship Insurance Victims Association, stated that they were holding their first rally as a federation and said the following:

"Our effort is for this grievance to come to an end. When we were children, we were given those insurance cards and told, 'You are insured.' Today, we see that the insurance made on those cards meant nothing for us. Unfortunately, we have gathered to fight for this, and we are constantly voicing it. At the end of the day, I hope our state officials will also make an effort to solve this. Because we know that they are working on this issue. Our demand regarding this matter was this: Let our insurance start date be the dates on those cards given to us."

Victims who came from various parts of the country also took the floor to express their grievances.
