Investigation deepens: 3 Ministers to visit Narin Güran's village

The investigation continues into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found inside a sack by the Eğertutmaz Stream 19 days after she went missing in Diyarbakır.

It has been learned that Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, and Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş will visit Tavşantepe Village, where the incident took place.

INVESTIGATION PROCESS

Following Narin Güran's disappearance, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş had announced that they were providing psychosocial support services to children affected by the event. According to reports from Halk TV, it is stated that the three ministers will conduct inspections in the village and meet with the family.

22 SUSPECTS HAD BEEN DETAINED

Within the scope of the investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin, 22 people, including family members, were detained.

As part of the investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Narin's mother, father, two brothers, four uncles, and the wife of her uncle Salim Güran, who has been arrested, are also in custody. The village imam, who was among the suspects, was released after his statement to the gendarmerie. The other suspects are expected to be questioned by the prosecutor's office.

Nevzat Bahtiyar, a key figure in the investigation, confessed to taking Narin in a sack and burying her, and was subsequently arrested. It is stated that the legal proceedings for the other suspects are ongoing.

MINISTER TUNÇ: 'THEY WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, in his statement regarding the death of Narin Güran, said, "Whoever is responsible for the death of our daughter Narin will be brought to justice and will receive the punishment they deserve." Minister Tunç stated that the investigation, which is being meticulously conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, is continuing in a multi-faceted manner.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, in a statement made via social media, said, "The perpetrators of this inhumane murder will be delivered to justice. I believe the press also plays a major role in this process. We are catching the culprit and delivering them to justice; the judges and prosecutors will have the final say."

MINISTERS DID NOT OFFER CONDOLENCES

The ministers did not offer condolences to the family following the Narin Güran murder.
