Investigation into Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's 'concert' spending: 5 arrested
Five people have been arrested and nine others released under judicial control as part of an investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

Five of the 14 suspects detained as part of an investigation into alleged irregularities regarding concert expenditures by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality between 2021 and 2024 have been arrested, while nine others were released under judicial control.
The following statement was issued by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office:
"As part of the investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations that expenditures for concerts organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality between 2021 and 2024 caused public loss, the proceedings for 14 suspects—including 13 previously ordered to be detained and one additional suspect detained following testimony—have been completed by our office. The suspects, including former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department H. A. B., former Acting Head of Culture Events Branch/Acting Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department H. E., former Acting Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department H. Z., former Acting Head of Culture Events Branch A. A. Ç., Acting Head of Culture Events Branch C. A., Acting Head of Culture Events Branch K. B., owner of Evren Teknik Grup Müzik Organizasyon San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. O. E., and partners of Festiva and Enfest Organizasyon Turizm San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. K. A. and S. Ç., were referred to the Ankara Duty Magistrate Court with a request for their arrest on charges of embezzlement and bid rigging.
Suspects S. E., owner of the Univerce company; A. A., owner of the Gurudan company; E. D. and L. E., partners of the Yalınayak company; and municipal employee O. C. T. were referred with a request for judicial control.
They were referred to the Ankara Duty Magistrate Court.
The investigation is continuing meticulously.
