Investigation launched into audio recordings in İmamoğlu's diploma case

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Officestatement included the following:

"On 08.12.2025, at the courtroom located within the Marmara Penal Execution Institution campus, the trial of defendant Ekrem İmamoğlu for the crime of forgery of official documentswas continuing under file number 2025/381 of the Istanbul 59th Criminal Court of First Instance; however, it was understood that during the prosecution proceedings, an audio recording wasillegallymade and shared on the social media site known as X." regarding: (those who recorded and transmitted) the individuals responsibleunder Article 286 of the TurkishPenal Code No. 5237, our Chief PublicProsecutor's Office has initiated an ex officio investigationthrough the Organized Crime Bureau."
