Investigation launched into BTP Chairman Hüseyin Baş
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation into Independent Turkey Party (BTP) Chairman Hüseyin Baş on the grounds of insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to the statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that "An ex officio investigation has been launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Independent Turkey Party Chairman Hüseyin Baş for the crime of 'Insulting the President' due to his address and the words he used against the President of the Republic of Turkey during a speech he gave at a party meeting on 22/12/2024."
