Investigation launched into CHP-run Akçaşehir Municipality: Expert appointed from Ankara
An investigation has been launched into Mayor Soner Yeşildaş of the CHP-run Akçaşehir Municipality in Karaman. The Karaman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action following allegations of the irregular use of municipal resources. It was reported that an expert has been appointed from Ankara as part of the investigation.

During the examination conducted into Akçaşehir Municipality, various allegations of irregularity were put forward. It was learned that the allegations include the use of municipal workers and vehicles for private business, the sale of scrap without a tender process, the transfer of municipal revenues to accounts other than official ones, and the use of municipal paving stones on private properties.
The expert committee appointed as part of the investigation has begun examinations at the municipal building, accompanied by gendarmerie teams. By comparing physical documents and digital records, the municipality's financial transactions and tender processes have been placed under scrutiny.
Speaking to the Sözcü newspaper, Akçaşehir Mayor Soner Yeşildaş stated that the investigation in question began approximately 6-7 months ago and that an expert has been appointed. Expressing that the current allegations will be clarified after the legal process is completed, Yeşildaş noted that the outcome of the investigation is being awaited.
