Investigation launched into Sözcü TV reporter Fırat Fıstık

Sözcü TV reporter Fırat Fıstık announced that an investigation has been launched against him by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Fıstık stated, "I was summoned to give a statement 'urgently' by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. What can one say."

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu held a press conference regarding the lawsuits and investigations opened against him. During the press conference, held under the title "The Radish in the Bag," İmamoğlu disclosed the name of expert witness Satılmış Büyükcanayakın in relation to the cases filed against him.

Following the hour-and-a-half-long meeting, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched another investigation into Ekrem İmamoğlu. Immediately after İmamoğlu's speech, an investigation was initiated against him for the "crime of influencing an expert or witness on duty."

INVESTIGATION INTO JOURNALIST FIRAT FISTIK

Another investigation report came from Sözcü TV reporter Fırat Fıstık, who covered İmamoğlu's press conference in Saraçhane. An investigation was launched against Fıstık due to his report titled "The Ministry is buying goods from Israel," which he published on November 14.

In a statement made via his social media account, Fıstık used the following expressions:

"While I was listening to İmamoğlu's press conference regarding the judiciary, my phone rang and a police officer on the line told me that an investigation had been launched against me.

I was summoned to give a statement 'urgently' by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to a report I made. What can one say.."
