Investigation launched into white meat giants
The Competition Board has decided to launch an investigation into 10 enterprises operating in the white meat sector.

According to the announcement on the Competition Authority's website, the preliminary investigation conducted into allegations that enterprises and associations of enterprises operating in the white meat sector violated the relevant article of the Law on the Protection of Competition has been concluded by the Competition Board.
Having discussed the information, documents, and findings obtained during the preliminary investigation, the Competition Board found the evidence to be serious and sufficient. It decided to launch an investigation into Abalıoğlu Lezita Gıda Sanayi AŞ, As Tavukçuluk Tarım İşl. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., Banvit Bandırma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AŞ, Beypi Beypazarı Tarımsal Üretim Paz. San. ve Tic. AŞ, CP Standart Gıda San. ve Tic. AŞ, Erpiliç Entegre Tavukçuluk Üretim Pazarlama ve Tic. AŞ, Gedik Tavukçuluk ve Tarım Ürünleri Tic. San. AŞ, Hastavuk Gıda Tarım Hayvancılık Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, Keskinoğlu Tavukçuluk ve Damızlık İşl. San. Tic. AŞ, and Şenpiliç Gıda Sanayi AŞ to determine whether they violated the relevant article of the Law on the Protection of Competition by exchanging competitively sensitive information.
It was also decided to launch separate investigations to determine whether Abalıoğlu Lezita Gıda Sanayi AŞ violated the relevant article of the Law on the Protection of Competition by determining the resale prices of its buyers; whether Erpiliç Entegre Tavukçuluk Üretim Pazarlama ve Tic. AŞ violated it by imposing regional and customer restrictions on its buyers; and whether Hastavuk Gıda Tarım Hayvancılık Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ violated it by determining the resale prices of its buyers and imposing non-compete obligations as well as regional and customer restrictions on its buyers.
