The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into Sinan Çetin following reports that he had built 4-5 illegal structures on his land in Sarıyer.
Within the scope of the investigation, Çetin's statement was taken as a "suspect" by the Zoning Crimes Investigation Bureau.
The statement process lasted approximately 1 hour. As he left the courthouse, Çetin responded to questions from journalists by saying, "I have never seen such a ridiculous thing."
