Iranian President Raisi speaks on the case where Israel is tried for 'genocide': 'The expectation of all humanity...'

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has called on the court panel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to rule with justice in the case filed against Israel over its attacks on Gaza.

According to Iran's official news agency IRNA, Raisi spoke at a Gaza conference held in Tehran.

Raisi stated, "The US and the Zionist regime are trying to influence this court. I call on the judges of the court to fulfill their responsibilities to God, human conscience, and history. The expectation of all humanity from the court is that they rule with justice."

Criticizing the United Nations (UN) and international communities for failing to fulfill their responsibilities regarding Israel's attacks on Gaza, Raisi said, "Despite this horrific crime, international institutions such as the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation have lost their effectiveness due to the pressure from the US and the West."
