Iraqi Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Muhannad Galib al-Asadi made statements following footage shared on social media regarding the relocation of air defense systems.
Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Asadi emphasized that the movement in question was carried out within the scope of ordinary and routine measures.
"Our armed forces and air defense systems continue their duties to protect the country's airspace and strategic targets," said al-Asadi, noting that all air defense elements are in a state of readiness against potential threats.
ACTIVITY IN THE SOUTH DREW ATTENTION
Footage indicating that air defense systems were being deployed to certain regions in southern Iraq had been shared on social media in recent days. The footage showed radar systems and air defense batteries being transported.
