Is an early election coming? YSK takes step for ballot paper and envelope paper

The State Supply Office has published a tender notice to procure 2 types of watermarked ballot paper and envelope paper needed by the Supreme Election Council (YSK). According to the notice, the deadline for final bids has been set for October 21, 2024. 

According to a report by Mustafa Çakır from Cumhuriyet; a temporary guarantee in TL, to be determined by the bidders at an amount not less than 3 percent of the bid price and valid until May 30, 2025, will be provided. This procurement will be carried out via “direct procurement” in accordance with Article 22 of the Public Procurement Law. 

The materials to be purchased were also listed in the announcement on the State Supply Office's website. Accordingly, a total of 4 thousand tons of watermarked ballot paper and 1 thousand tons of watermarked ballot envelope paper will be purchased. The total amount to be purchased is 5 thousand tons. The delivery period is 8 months.
