Is Sedat Peker founding a party? His lawyer explains: 'For now...'

Sedat Peker's lawyer Ersan Barkın has made a statement regarding claims recently voiced on social media that "Sedat Peker is founding a new political party."

Barkın stated that these claims do not reflect the truth and indicated that his client has no such plan at this time.

'HALKIN SESİ PARTİSİ' CLAIMS ALSO DENIED

Another claim put forward on social media was that Peker was linked to an entity called the "Halkın Sesi Partisi" (Voice of the People Party). However, Ersan Barkın categorically denied this claim as well, emphasizing that the party in question has no connection whatsoever to Sedat Peker.

'WE HAVE ALSO INFORMED THE RELEVANT STATE INSTITUTIONS'

The statement made by Ersan Barkın on his X account is as follows:

“In recent days, it has been frequently stated on social media that my client, Mr. Sedat Peker, is preparing to establish a political party through his associates. As of now, my client is not involved in the establishment efforts of any political party. The entity frequently appearing before us under the name 'Halkın Sesi Partisi' also has no connection to my client, Mr. Sedat Peker. I would like to inform the public that he will not be held responsible for any material or moral damages that may be suffered in the future by those who become members of this or similar entities under the impression that they are my client's party. The official state institutions have also been informed regarding the same matter.”
