It had been alleged that fugitive FETÖ member Zekeriya Öz, who is wanted for membership in the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) and is known to have fled to Germany in 2015, attended the funeral ceremony held in Duisburg for Muhammed Yakut, who passed away in Germany recently.

According to a report by Aydınlık, it has been revealed that the person alleged to be Öz, who is the subject of an Interpol red notice, is actually Sedat Ü.

YAKUT'S BODY TO BE TRANSPORTED TO TURKEY

Muhammed Yakut, who came to the public's attention as one of the names linked to the Halil Falyalı assassination and through his striking revelations, was captured while on his way to meet with Cemil Önal. After being detained in the Netherlands and spending 62 days in prison, Yakut passed away just one day after his release, according to initial reports, as a result of a 'heart attack.' The incident took place at a nightclub.

Following the ceremony held at the Cemevi in the German city of Duisburg, it was learned that Yakut's body will be brought to Istanbul on Tuesday. After the funeral prayer to be held at a mosque in Ataşehir, Yakut's remains will be interred in Beykoz.
