A disruption began on the Meta-owned platform WhatsApp as of the evening hours. On the platform, which has billions of users, many people around the world have reported that they cannot connect to the application.
Users in Turkey are also unable to access WhatsApp. DownDetector, which tracks internet outages, announced that complaints regarding WhatsApp have increased rapidly after 18:00 Turkey time.
No information note has been shared by WhatsApp or Meta regarding the issue yet.
