Is YouTube down? When will it be back? Why is it not opening?

Following the terrorist attack in front of TUSAŞ in Ankara, issues were experienced in accessing social media platforms. As Twitter and Instagram users were unable to access the platforms, they began researching whether these outages were linked to the attack.

WHAT HAPPENED?

An attack took place at the TUSAŞ facilities in Ankara. It was announced that there were martyrs and wounded as a result of the attack. The wounded were transported to hospitals. The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the terrorist attack on the TUSAŞ Kahramankazan campus. Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya reported that there were 3 martyrs and 14 wounded as a result of the attack.

PARTIAL ACCESS TO TWITTER, INSTAGRAM INACCESSIBLE

Users reported that while they could access Twitter intermittently following the attack, they were unable to access Instagram at all. Due to the issues experienced, speculation has increased on social media regarding whether the restrictions placed on the platforms are linked to the attack.

While no official statement has been made by authorities regarding the matter yet, it is being evaluated that access to social media platforms may have been restricted for security reasons. On the other hand, the imposition of a broadcast ban by RTÜK on news regarding the attack also drew attention.

While statements regarding the developments are awaited, social media users are demanding that the issues be resolved.
