ISIS operation in Istanbul: Many detained
In an operation conducted against the global terrorist organization ISIS in Istanbul, 11 suspects were apprehended for allegedly carrying out the organization's current propaganda activities and spreading propaganda through social media channels.

Units from the Istanbul Police Department's Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Branch and the Intelligence Branch have carried out a new operation targeting the domestic actions and activities of the terrorist organization ISIS.
Following instructions from the prosecutor's office, police tracked individuals identified as having links to the global terrorist organization and who were understood to be conducting activities affiliated with ISIS and spreading the organization's propaganda via social media channels, leading to the decision to launch an operation.
Following technical and physical surveillance of individuals sympathetic to the organization, simultaneous raids were conducted on numerous addresses this morning.
During the operation, which was supported by special operations teams, 11 suspects were apprehended and taken into custody.
During searches of the suspects' residences, all technological devices belonging to the individuals, including mobile phones, computers, external storage drives, and USB flash drives, were seized.
The detained ISIS suspects were taken to the Counter-Terrorism Branch for questioning.
The investigation into the suspects apprehended in the police operation is ongoing.
