Following instructions from the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detention warrants have been issued for 27 suspects within the framework of two separate investigations into the terrorist organization ISIS. It was learned that 5 of the suspects for whom detention warrants were issued are Turkish citizens.
Acting on the prosecutor's office's instructions, security forces launched simultaneous operations in a total of 7 provinces, with Ankara as the hub, to apprehend the suspects. The operations are being conducted under the coordination of the Ankara Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch.
Within the scope of the investigations, it is alleged that the suspects were involved in activities linked to the ISIS terrorist organization, established contact with individuals associated with the group, and that some suspects had international connections.
It was stated that the detention warrants were issued based on evidence obtained by security units as a result of technical and physical surveillance.
