İSKİ announces: Latest status of dam occupancy rates in Istanbul

According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the average occupancy rate of dams in the megacity has reached 83.43 percent.

Last year, drought and precipitation levels below seasonal norms across the country had brought the dams supporting Istanbul to the point of drying up.

The heavy rainfall that has been effective in recent days in the megacity of Istanbul, which experienced a dry winter, has benefited the dams.

The occupancy rate in the dams has risen to 83.43 percent.

According to İSKİ data, as of May 5, the dam occupancy rates in Istanbul are as follows:

Alibey Dam 62.86 percent

Büyükçekmece Dam 78.28 percent

Darlık Dam 82.68 percent

Istrancalar Dam 85.78 percent

Kazandere Dam 81.13 percent

Elmalı Dam 88.54 percent

Ömerli Dam 92.72 percent

Pabuçdere Dam 79.41 percent

Sazlıdere Dam 62.53 percent

Terkos Dam 92.25 percent
