Journalist İsmail Saymaz mocked the technological device support for university students announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the Cabinet Meeting.

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the 'good news' regarding tax-free mobile phones and computers, which hundreds of thousands of young people had been eagerly awaiting following the Cabinet Meeting.

Erdoğan stated, "We are announcing support for computers and mobile phones for our students in formal education. We will provide support not exceeding a total of 5,500 TL for mobile phones and computers that do not exceed 9,500 TL".

Journalist İsmail Saymaz shared the type of phone that could be purchased with the support announced by Erdoğan.

"The government is reportedly going to provide a 5,500 TL contribution for mobile phones and computers worth 9,500 TL. If you buy something for 9,500 TL, this is what you get," wrote Saymaz, sharing a picture of a push-button phone.


"The computer that the government promises to provide a 5,500 TL contribution for," said Saymaz, later sharing a handheld Tetris game console.
