Israel confirms: Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif killed

Following the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, a striking statement has come from Israel.

In an announcement made by the Israel Defense Forces, it was stated that Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif was killed in an airstrike that took place on July 13.

We can now confirm: Mohammed Deif was eliminated.

The Israeli army stated that the defense establishment had been certain for the last two weeks that the airstrike had killed Deif; however, they noted that they only received additional intelligence confirming his death in the last few hours.

Sources reported that some members of Hamas and Hezbollah had known for some time that Deif was dead, but that some Hamas members might not have been aware of the situation due to being disconnected from the broader operational network.
