According to eyewitness accounts, the Israeli army severely beat several journalists, including Al Jazeera reporter Ismail al-Ghoul, during a raid on Al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City this morning. Israeli forces detained the journalists after binding their hands and blindfolding them.
The Qatar-based Al Jazeera television network also confirmed that its reporter at Al-Shifa Hospital had been detained by Israeli forces.
