A motion from the Speaker of the Parliament regarding Israel's attacks in Syria has been approved in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
The motion, bearing the signature of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, included the following statements:
"Israel's disregard for the law has once again shown its face in Syria today.
The ongoing genocide in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, followed by attacks on Lebanon and Iran, and today's targeting of the Syrian capital, Damascus, clearly demonstrate that the Israeli administration is pursuing a conflict strategy that threatens regional peace in its entirety.
Trampling upon the United Nations Charter, which is the collective commitment of the international community, as well as the rules and principles of international law, Israel is on one hand openly violating Syria's territorial integrity, and on the other, engaging in a new act of aggression aimed at distracting from the genocide it is perpetrating against the Palestinian people.
These attacks carried out by Israel aim to destabilize Syria and the region. At this point, the incomprehensible silence and ineffectiveness of the international community embolden Israel's lawless and reckless aggression. It is evident that as long as a strong response is not given by all of humanity against these attacks, the environment of peace, security, and stability will continue to be harmed both in our region and in the world.
As the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, we condemn in the strongest terms Israel's vile attacks on Syria, particularly on the capital, Damascus.
We reiterate that we stand with the Syrian people, who have suffered great pain for many years."
We emphasize in the strongest terms that we support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria, and that we stand against all actions that threaten the peace of the friendly and brotherly Syrian people.
We state that peace and stability in Syria will also serve regional peace and stability, and that developments to the contrary will only benefit Netanyahu and his team, who build their existence on blood and conflict.
We declare that we will continue to make every effort for an environment of peace, stability, security, and tranquility in our region, just as we have done until now.
We once again invite the international community to raise its voice against Israel's aggression, which deepens the regional crisis and threatens world peace, and to take effective, consistent, and decisive measures.
In this context, I submit to the approval of the General Assembly the matter of voting on and adopting this declaration, and publishing the decision in the Official Gazette.
