The Al-Susi Mosque in the west of Gaza was destroyed in airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes.
According to information received from eyewitnesses, Israeli warplanes bombed the Al-Susi Mosque in the Al-Shati Refugee Camp in western Gaza with missiles. While it was reported that there were dead and wounded in the attack, no clear number was provided.
With this destruction, the number of mosques destroyed in the Israeli airstrikes on the blockaded Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to 6.
Israel had previously struck the Al-Yarmouk, Al-Amin Muhammad, Ahmed Yassin, Muhammad al-Habib, and Al-Garbi mosques in Gaza.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7 called "Al-Aqsa Flood."
While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanoun-Erez Border Crossing on the Gaza-Israel border.
Armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from there, and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of warplanes.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 493 people had lost their lives and 2,751 people had been injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.
In various cities of the occupied West Bank, 15 Palestinians lost their lives as a result of fire opened by Israeli soldiers.
In the Israeli press, it was stated that more than 700 Israelis had lost their lives and 2,315 people had been injured in the attacks so far.
