Israel targets state television headquarters in Tehran

As a series of explosion sounds began to be heard in Iran's capital, Tehran, the sound of fighter jets also echoed across the city. Most recently, it was reported that Israel targeted the headquarters of the Iranian state television and radio in central Tehran.

STATEMENT FROM IRAN

Iranian state television announced that certain sections of the Radio and Television Organization complex in Tehran were targeted in joint attacks by Israel and the US. These statements are being evaluated as the effects of the military offensive launched on February 28, while negotiations between Tehran and Washington are ongoing.

MUTUAL ATTACKS FROM IRAN

Iran responded with attacks not only on Israel but also on regional countries where US bases are located, such as Qatar, the UAE, and Bahrain. In these attacks, numerous high-level officials, including Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, lost their lives. The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 201 people lost their lives and 747 people were injured as a result of the bombardments.

REGIONAL EFFECTS AND PROTESTS

In Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), debris from an intercepted unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) struck the Etihad Towers, where offices of Israel and other foreign missions are located. An Israeli woman and her son were injured in the incident, and material damage occurred.

Italian Chief of Defense Staff Luciano Portolano reported that approximately 300 Italian soldiers were unharmed in the attack on the Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, during the process that began with the attacks launched by the US and Israel and continued with Iran's retaliations. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that it is difficult to predict whether political change can be achieved in Iran through external intervention.

PUBLIC TAKES TO THE STREETS IN TEHRAN

Following the death of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei in the joint US-Israeli attack, thousands of people held a protest demonstration at Inkilab Square in the capital, Tehran. The protesters condemned Khamenei's death and the attacks, and gave messages of support to Iran.

REACTIONS CONTINUE IN BEIRUT

Protests also continued in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Crowds gathered in southern Beirut to protest the killing of Iranian leader Khamenei, while demonstrators voiced messages of support for Iran.
