Istanbul Bar Association President Kaboğlu to testify tomorrow

Istanbul Bar Association President İbrahim Kaboğlu and board members, against whom the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation, will go to the Çağlayan Courthouse tomorrow to provide their statements.

An ex officio investigation was launched against Kaboğlu and the board members for "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" and "publicly disseminating misleading information" due to a statement issued by the Istanbul Bar Association following the killing of journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin in Syria. 

In a post shared on the Istanbul Bar Association's social media account, it was announced that the Istanbul Bar Association President and Board members will testify at the Çağlayan Courthouse tomorrow (January 7).

UNION OF TURKISH BAR ASSOCIATIONS PRESIDENT WILL ALSO ATTEND

According to the statement made on social media, Union of Turkish Bar Associations President Erinç Sağkan and a large number of Bar Association Presidents and Board members from various provinces will also be at the courthouse to show their support during the testimony process.
