'Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek is preparing a list of criminal complaints': 'A summary of proceedings will be sent to Özel'

Following the arrest of CHP's Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer for being a member of a terrorist organization, a trustee was appointed to the CHP-run municipality, which drew significant backlash. The CHP reacted sharply to these events and held a rally in Esenyurt.

Speaking at the rally held there, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel launched a harsh attack on Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek, using the term 'mobile guillotine' for him.

Özel's remarks were criticized by AKP figures, and Minister of Justice Tunç warned against interfering with the functioning of justice, stating that it is no one's place to make such statements.

Journalist Altan Sancar stated on a live broadcast on Sözcü TV that Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek is preparing a list of criminal complaints and is getting ready to file complaints against those who made statements about him following the arrest process.

Sancar also noted that Gürlek would send a summary of proceedings to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

ÖZEL'S RESPONSE TO JUSTICE MINISTER TUNÇ

Following Yılmaz Tunç's statement, Özgür Özel gave the following response to questions regarding whether a decision for a summary of proceedings might come to the agenda:

"If a summary of proceedings comes, it comes; I have nothing to say about that. It seems they were hurt over Akın Gürlek. The man they have is like a boomerang. We throw him, we throw him, he comes back. A mobile guillotine. 'Are new plots needed? If anyone can do it, Akın can,' they said. He was a deputy minister, they made him chief public prosecutor."
