On January 27, 2024, water levels, which increased due to the effect of rainfall in previous days, brought the occupancy rates of the 10 dams in Istanbul to the agenda. The total amount of water in the megacity's dams rose above 50 percent for the first time in months, reaching a level of 64.3 percent.
