Gül addressed the residents of Istanbul through a post on his official social media account. In his post, Governor Gül used the following expressions:
"Although the rainfall across Istanbul is decreasing, it will continue to be effective until midnight.
Our fellow citizens whose homes have been flooded or are at risk of flooding will be hosted if they apply to 112 or their district governorships.
