The statement emphasized that only the official social media accounts belonging to the Istanbul Governor's Office and Governor Davut Gül should be taken into consideration.
Citizens were asked not to pay attention to posts outside of official accounts, to report fake accounts to the relevant social media platforms, and to notify security units when necessary.
