Istanbul University's 2023 post about İmamoğlu surfaces! 'Our valued graduate İmamoğlu...'

Istanbul University has announced that it has cancelled the diploma of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on the grounds that he made an irregular lateral transfer to the university's Faculty of Business Administration English program in 1990.

While reactions to the cancellation of İmamoğlu's diploma are growing like an avalanche, a post made by the Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration on its social media account in 2023 has resurfaced.

In the post, where business administration graduates were invited to the event for the faculty's 55th-anniversary celebrations, the following statement was included: "We look forward to seeing all Istanbul Business graduates at the event, which will take place with the participation of our valued graduates Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mehmet Sekmen, and Murat Aydın."
