MAARIF SCHOOLS

Maarif Schools, which carry out educational activities abroad, provide training for students from many African countries to enroll in universities in Turkey.

Among the allegations is that the YÖS (Foreign Student Examination), conducted under the auspices of the Maarif Foundation, is held as a 'formality' and that even those without a high school diploma pass this exam.

56 OUT OF 62 GRADUATES PLACED IN TURKISH UNIVERSITIES

In a news report on the subject in AA in 2020, TMV Mauritania Country Representative Adil Tanış stated, "While the general success average of students participating in the university entrance exam held this year was 16 percent, the success average of students participating in the exam from Maarif Schools was 92 percent. RECTOR OPENED THE UNIVERSITY TO CHADIANS

The statements made in the past by former Karabük University Rector Refik Bolat and the fact that there are more Chadian students at the university than any other nationality were interpreted as Bolat opening the university specifically to students coming from the Republic of Chad.

According to another allegation, Bolat wants to become Turkey's Ambassador to Chad.

"We have more than 1300 Chadian students. I have been going there, visiting even high schools, and striving to get students from among the top 1000 students in Chad for 4 years. Hopefully, it will be the same this year."

"As a university, especially as a state university, I learned how money is earned. I mean, maybe it didn't reach the amount of the investment budget the state gives me annually, but I am earning money in an amount close to that. I earn from international students, I earn from formation, I earn from TÖMER, I earn from summer school, and I earn from real estate things. I earn from my rents. No matter how you look at it, 14-15 million, in old money 14-15 trillion... I earned 4 million liras just from summer schools this year. I go to the state and ask Naci Ağbal for money, he doesn't give it."

MANDATORY DONATION

It is alleged that money is collected from foreign students at Karabük University under the name of a "mandatory donation", that registration fees have risen from one thousand dollars to 20 thousand dollars, and that the university's annual income has reached 1 billion.

It is being discussed that the number of foreign students on Karabük University's Erasmus list is noteworthy.
