It has been learned that social media personality Furkan Bölükbaşı was invited to the August 30 Reception hosted by the Presidency. It was reported that Bölükbaşı was seated just in front of the row reserved for press representatives.
Bölükbaşı, who made posts targeting Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the Republican People's Party (CHP) on August 30, was a guest at the reception held at the Presidential Complex.
According to information obtained by BirGün, Bölükbaşı attended the reception alone, and the chairs next to him remained empty. Following the invitation, the language Bölükbaşı uses on social media and his posts have once again become a topic of discussion.
HE HAD TARGETED ATATÜRK AND THE CHP
In his August 30 post, Bölükbaşı targeted Atatürk and the CHP, claiming that Atatürk was not the founder of the state and the regime, that the founder of the state was Osman Gazi, and that the founder of the Republican regime was the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). He further argued that the only institution Mustafa Kemal founded was the CHP and that the CHP had nothing to do with democracy. Bölükbaşı's statements caused a widespread reaction on social media.
